Hello I'm Hen! Welcome to my humble coop. I'm a freelance anime artist from the Philippines, and a chicken who really loves coffee. I tend to shrivel away without daily caffeine.I've been doing digital art since 2008 and I took up Multimedia Arts in school. I'm usually cooped up in my room gaming and doing art commissions.

Art Specialty

My menu consists of original characters, VTubers, and miscellaneous fanart. The main courses I serve are character design and illustration, usually served with an entrée of graphic design.

Ongoing Project

I'm planning to debut with a model as a VArtist in the near future. In the meantime I'm sometimes streaming as a PNGTuber over at twitch. Hope to see you guys soon!

  1. We reserve the right to decline any commission orders without any explanation.

  2. We may decline an order if the project and/or character are something we cannot deliver well. Read dos & don'ts.

  3. We do not accept commissions with certain hardcore R-18 content and explicit offensive themes.

  4. Only participate in any transaction with us if you are over the age of 18, and are able to pay of your own ability (have your own PayPal account, credit card, etc.). We will not issue invoices to a different person other than the client unless discussed and agreed upon.

  5. You, as the client, guarantee that all provided materials that are core subjects of the commission are legally obtained and authorized by the copyright owner.

  6. You will only receive full resolution digital file/s of the commission. No physical item will be shipped to your home address.

  7. All works made by henxtie/hen-tie are NOT authorized for use in any blockchain-related technology including NFTs and any form of cryptocurrency. We also do NOT authorize our work for use in artificial learning programs, such as those used to create computer-generated works.

  1. We reserve the right to refund and cancel the commission at any time.

  2. The commission will be official after the upfront payment has been made, unless otherwise stipulated and agreed to by all parties.

  3. If the invoice was sent and hasn't been paid for over a week, we may cancel the commission unless there's mutual agreement regarding the delay.

  4. Do not issue chargebacks. You may request a refund and cancel the commission only if we take more than 5 months without significant progress past the sketching phase.

  5. In the event of a refund or chargeback, you will forfeit your ownership and rights to the commissioned artwork/s at any phase of progress.

  6. Partial refunds will be considered if the commission has been started but unable to be completed, and you are allowed to keep the commission files sent.

  7. Any additional charges (rush fees, further edits, added assets, etc.) will be upheld and respected by all parties involved.

  1. Updating or changing references is allowed in the sketching phase prior to finalization. Inform us early so no additional charges will occur.

  2. We will provide screenshots of WIPs throughout the process. You are limited to 3 major edit sessions during sketching phase. Minor adjustments at any rendering phase (including hues, painting in missing details, etc.) are allowed but you may be charged after 3 sessions. Organized lists of requests are highly encouraged. Visual guides such as editing the WIP provided is allowed within reason, with the condition of not heavily changing the artist's style.

  3. Under the artist's discretion any excess edits will have added fees to the overall cost, especially past the polished or line art phase. We will inform you beforehand of the cost based on the approximate time and effort for each adjustment.

  4. Depending on the workload involved in the requested revision, the scheduled completion may be affected and must be considered carefully.

  5. No major changes are allowed in the finishing phase that will heavily impact the overall composition of the commissioned artwork.

  1. As the artist we retain our intellectual property, including the right to be credited and publish the art in our personal portfolio and social media.

  2. As the client you have ownership of the artwork. Upon reposting your commissioned artwork, please credit accordingly by citing and linking any of the artist's relevant social media.

  3. If an NDA was agreed to, upon the publishing of the full project by the client, we as the artist will be granted the right to publicize our own work.

  1. Any information and materials exchanged between artist and client will be treated with utmost confidentiality, and not be disclosed to other parties without express written consent from the owner. These include but not limited to sensitive personal and business information.

  2. Only non-sensitive commission progress will be published on the artist's public to-do list.

We are not liable for any false information given to us.

  1. If we find that our terms are violated, the one who committed the violation will be blacklisted, and won’t be transacted with in the future.

  2. In the event of an unamicable project termination, including but not limited to chargebacks or any form of extortion, you will forfeit some of your rights to confidentiality. As proof of breaking our Terms of Service, we may publish the offender's relevant social media, PayPal email, and business-related exchanges (such as emails and invoices). Sensitive personal information (such as addresses) will be redacted.

  3. Current and potential clients may enquire for our services, but not harass us for commission slots and additional work beyond what was agreed upon.

Openings & Reservations

  • Subscribe to my newsletter to receive email notifications of my commission openings.

  • You may contact us outside openings but kindly be mindful of the commission queue, trello, when submitting a request. The reservation fee may have a 25% increase to the total commission cost. Payment is required only when the commission is ready to start.

  • There are rush fees if you provide a tight deadline shorter than 2 months. If the timeframe is too short for the workload, the commission will likely be declined.

  • Clients with confidential projects will be given an acronym or codename on the queue.

Payment

guidelines

  • Projects I'm interested in are promotional posters, merch design, book covers, music video visuals, and album art.

  • Regarding game dev projects (e.g. visual novels), I rarely accept these as the main artist because of their long-term nature requiring many assets. I'd like to be very invested to consider such an undertaking. However, I will consider accepting one-off promotional art, and RPG/TCG projects that involve multiple artists collaborating.

Live2D Animations

  • Inform me beforehand if you plan to animate any illustration work, so I may split parts similarly to Live2D models. The add-on price for layer splitting will be affected by the amount of work involved with the requirements.

  • Upon request you will receive a PSD file catered to the specific use (e.g. music video art, stream assets, etc.).

Others

  • Depending on the project I may recommend involving my partner, Kanlamari, or my commission guild, Patella Coop, if I'm not confident in working alone.
